I guess that was the start, so many years ago. This is just the modern media equivalent of my stories, to reach the next generation. I've always  been the story teller of the clan, and this is just the way they do it in this century.

We started this website for my great nieces to give them an example of girls doing well. It has grown from there. Kandy Kaine was developed to counter act what I feel is the huge image that pop-culture is spreading to kids, and girls in particular. 

As I watch the people that get promoted as "stars" to our kids, I don't see any promoting hard work, education, and self-reliance. I see them sending the message party time, and do what feels good to you. We try to counter act that here. 

You won't find us promoting someone here, or telling a story, that we don't feel is a good role model for kids. If I don't want my nieces and nephews holding them up as an example, I won't put them on the site.

As the development of the site continues, and more stories are told, we hope you can come to see us as a kid friendly site, with the best interest of the kids at heart. Everything you see on the site has been scrutinized by me, including our advertising affiliates. I hope the effort is noticed, and you also enjoy the site. The site itself is meant to be an adventure. Check around, explore, you never know what you may find.
