I have been asked to explain our Motto. What is it, what does it mean? Our motto was derived after a series of experiments I conducted on....I mean assisted , Kandy with. The results were factual and published in the Mad Scientists Monthly in April of 2004. But for those who missed that issue, I will review them here, and explain it once again. This time, pay attention. I will not repeat this again...
To understand our motto, It's best we define it first
" Smart is Power, Smart Is Cool,
Smart is Special, because Smart Kids Rule"
The first thing we must do, then is to define "Smart". What is smart, what makes a smart kid? Experiment 12 clearly proved that any child that can make use of all of their abilities and talents to achieve their goals, can be described as a smart kid. By the proper manipulation of test variables, we concluded that each kid came with different levels of abilities, and multiple combinations of talents. The results were conclusive, (and for Mrs. Dixon and her 3rd grade class, we apologize, and we will send some one over to clean that up.); it didn't matter WHAT the abilities were, it's how those abilities were used that determined if a child was "smart". It was noted that while each and every child has a different combination of talents, it's how the child uses and develops those talents...through the best, most effective use of their individual abilities, that would define the subject....,uh, I mean child, as "Smart".
The conclusive results of Experiment 12 prove the saying; "It ain't what you got, it's how you use it".
Having established a base line of what "Smart" is, we can then examine the first part of the motto; "Smart is Power". Experiment 13 proves that power is simply the manipulation of situations through the changing of circumstances, for a desired positive outcome. It proved conclusively that no matter what the situation, whatever the circumstances are; the application of "smart" (as defined in experiment 12), to be able to overcome any obstacle, to be able to change any circumstance, to then attain the desired situational outcome, is the only TRUE definition of Power. Experiment 13 led us to the theorum, and resulting conclusion, that with the proper application of "smart", a child can use the resultant power to do those needed manipulations of circumstance to acheive their desired unique results in situaton.Therefore, we must conclude that Smart IS Power.
To understand the second part; "Smart is Cool", we had to define "Cool". What is cool? What is being cool? Exhaustive research, and carefully monitored, notated experiments draw the same conclusion. Throughout the History of the Digital Age, and even further back, all the way through recorded Human History, beings have always wanted to be "Cool". Why? What is this innate desire in all beings? Our research showed that while the THINGS that are considered cool is a variable, BEING cool proved to be a constant. While our research could uncover no correlations between WHAT is cool, it showed that WHO was cool all had a single trait in common, the ability to be confident, and able to function in any situation. With the ability to apply "Smart" in any circumstance, so that in any situational variable that arises, the "Cool" person is confident, able to function, to be in control, and remain true to themselves with their actions. Experiment 14 allowed us to conclude, that the proper application of "Smart", ( as defined in experiment 12) allowed the child to be "Cool" in any situation, and able to manipulate the circumstance for the desired positive outcome. Therefore, the only conclusion possible is that "Smart IS Cool"
So we can turn our Attention to the third part; "Smart is Special". Special merely means above the common, the unique, the things that stand out. No matter to what the term is applied, things that , and those who, are special find a way into our memories, and into our hearts and help those to whom they are special to, change their circumstance into a better situation. The concept of "Special" therefore can clearly be defined as a constant. In depth research also concludes, that people who are "Smart", those that can apply "Smart", (as defined in experiment 12), rise to the top, no matter the introduced variables of circumstance. They are the ones who make a situation, or a thing, special. Therefore, we must conclude that "Smart IS Special".
With the aforementioned conclusions established, we can reach the irrefutable conclusion that "Smart Kids Rule". To rule simply means to control, to be able to manipulate a circumstance, or an environment, to improve any situation, and achieve the desired results. One pattern we could establish during our research is that "Smart Kids" had enough commonalities among the tested sample to infer the character of "Smart" to a being. Noted, among which is the ability to set a goal, and the application of action to achieve that goal, repeatedly. Also of note, they tend to identify weakness in their talents, and use their abilities to improve those talents. The willingness to put off an easy now, for a better then is essential. A knowing of not only what to do, but HOW to do it, and then doing it. All of these were common in the "Smart" kids.
As clearly stated by experiment 12, "Smart Kids" use whatever abilities they have, to make effective use of whatever talents they have to manipulate the circumstance, to achieve the desired situation. In other words, a child who uses "smart" effectively, can control any given variable of circumstance, and achieve a beneficial situation that they themselves are in control of.
Therefore, the conclusion is proven; "Smart Kids Rule"
So, after distilling the results down into a provable equation, we got this;
"Smart is Power, Smart is Cool,
Smart is Special, because Smart Kids Rule."
I hope everyone took notes this time. I expect to not have to repeat this.
